When the Song Dynasty began, Fu Yu was the abbot of the Shaolin Temple. He invited the best martial artists to come to the original Shaolin Temple at Songshan. At the Temple they discussed and fought. They combined all the martial arts styles into what is now known as Shaolin Kungfu. Shifu Shi Yan Ming is the founder and abbot of the USA Shaolin Temple and the following temple branches. We are looking forward to planting further seeds in Russia, Italy, Germany and more.

Shaolin Temple of South Africa
35th Generation Disciple of Shi Yan Ming, Shi Heng Tong.
Founded in Johannesburgh, South Africa, Jurgens Lamprecht decided to take his training to the next level and undertake the vows of Fo, Fa, Seng. He was given the name Shi Heng Tong, which means “always passing through,” as in “unstoppable”. The Shaolin Temple of South Africa makes available to it’s students the over 1500 years of teachings and traditions of Shaolin Chan Buddhism or Martial Arts as transmitted by 34th Generation Shaolin Temple Monk Shi Yan Ming and the U.S.A. Shaolin Temple.

Shaolin Temple Austria
35th Generation Disciples of Shi Yan Ming, Shi Heng Xin assisted by Shi Heng Yi.
Xin means “Heart”, and Yi means “Mind” so that together they combine to Heart and Mind. Founded inVienna, Austria by Shifu’s 35th Generation Disciple Shi Heng Xin, he was soon joined by Heng Yi who came from China. Heng Xin was first exposed to Shaolin Philosophy or Martial Arts at the USA Shaolin Temple in NY. Soon he returned to his native Austria and established the 2nd Branch of the USA Shaolin Temple tree.

35th Generation Disciple of Shi Yan Ming, Shi Heng Yi.
Founded in Cuernavaca, Mexico, the Shaolin Temple of Mexico helps spread Shifu’s teachings not only throughout Mexico but it has served as a conduit to establish future branches throughout South America as well. The Shaolin Temple of Mexico maintains a vigorous Schedule of seminars.

Shaolin Temple of Trinidad and Tobago
35th Generation Disciple of Shi Yan Ming, Shi Heng Gou.
Founded in Couva, Trinidad, Shi Heng Gou- which comes from the Heart Sutra “not pure, not impure”- helps Shifu Shi Yan Ming to spread Shaolin Martial Arts or Chan Buddhism to the nation of Trinidad and Tobago, becoming the first Shaolin Temple in the Caribbean.
